On a day like any other day, a man stands alone on the platform waiting for his train.. but today something strange happens…today life plays a little trick on him.
Director's Note - Robin Walters
I had been looking for a short film to direct for almost a year. I had looked at many possible projects before The Platform came my way. It’s not often you ready a short film script and immediately fall in love with it. It was such a simple idea with a classic three-act structure and a quirky twist at the end. I especially liked the idea of the story being cyclic.
Casting was easy; I had worked with Peter Feeney previously and knew he was ideal for the lead. A week before the shoot Peter and I went to the location, walked it through, shot it on video and edited it the following day on i-Movie. This proved invaluable on the shoot day where everything an exceptionally smooth. This was also due to the experience and dedication of my producer Jack Sainte- Rose. Thanks Jack.
