The New Zealand Film Commission is offering up to 15 scholarships for industry practitioners who live in regional areas of Aotearoa, identify as deaf, disabled or neurodiverse (DDN), or identify as gender diverse to attend the 2025 Doc Edge Industry or Big Screen Symposium.
Results from the NZFC Workforce Survey conducted in 2024 showed us that economic limitations and the cost of professional training are barriers for those living in regional areas and those who identify as DDN and gender diverse. These scholarships are intended to provide support for these communities.
The scholarship includes a ticket to either Doc Edge or The Big Screen Symposium and $500 towards travel and accommodation.
The DocEdge Industry is being held in Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland from 30 June – 3 July 2025.
The Big Screen Symposium is being held in Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland on 4 and 5 July 2025.
