Kia hiwa ra! Kia hiwa ra!

Kia hiwa rā ki tēnēi tuku, kia hiwa rā ki tērā tuku, kia tū kia mātara!

Congratulations to the team selected to receive funding from the second round of the He Ara development scheme:

Multinesia - $50,000

Multinesia Productions is a global indigenous production company with South Pacific roots, founded by producer/director Karin Williams in Los Angeles. Now based in Auckland, the company creates, manages and produces award-winning projects for stage and screen. Multinesia works with creative talent and native communities from Alaska to Aotearoa to tell authentic stories of our ancestors and other indigenous people.

Our focus is on developing relationships with Pasifika talent, especially those with successful track records in theatre, television and fiction writing. We employ a tuakana/teina model of mentoring, based on traditional Polynesian concepts of older/younger sibling relationships, to develop emerging creative talent alongside experienced industry professionals.

The creative team includes producers, directors and writers with experience in film, television, theatre and fiction. The team includes Karin Williams, Tearepa Kahi, Victor Rodger and Lani Wendt Young.

Multinesia’s He Ara development slate includes a documentary, a drama and an international television series.

The second successful applicant for this round will be announced soon.
