Stalker-rom-com How to Meet Girls From a Distance has been selected to screen in the 22nd Golden Rooster and Hundred Flowers Film Festival by the China Film Association.

The inaugural winner of the 2012 Make My Movie competition has been well-received by audiences in China, where it screened earlier this year in the Panorama section of the 3rd Beijing International Film Festival.

Fellow New Zealand film Love Birds met with success at the 21st Golden Rooster festival last year, where it picked up the Audience Award for Best Foreign Director.

How to Meet Girls From a Distance was produced by Ruth Korver and Andrew Beattie, written by Dean Hewison, Richard Falkner and Sam Dickson and directed by Dean Hewison.

The 22nd Golden Rooster and Hundred Flowers Film Festival takes place this September in Wuhan, capital city of the Hubei province.
