Congratulations to the team behind New Zealand film Tatarakihi: The Children of Parihaka, which has won the Special Recognition Award at the 2013 Balinale Film Festival.  

Patsy Reddy, NZFC Chair, is delighted to announce the appointment of Dave Gibson as the next Chief Executive of the Film Commission.  He replaces Graeme Mason who recently left the Commission to become CEO of Screen Australia.

Applications for the next round of Fresh Shorts open on Monday 12 May 2014, with the deadline on Friday 27 June 2014.

The imagineNATIVE Film + Media Arts Festival held in Toronto celebrates the latest works by indigenous artists at the forefront of innovation in film, video, radio and new media and this year the focus was on New Zealand.
