Feature Film Finishing Grant
This fund provides up to $60,000 of essential support to help you complete your feature film to the highest possible standard ahead of release or distribution. It covers final post-production and preparations for festivals or markets.

- Book a 15-minute pre-application hui with the NZFC production team to confirm eligibility: production@nzfilm.co.nz

We provide targeted funding to support final post-production phase and festival or market preparations.
Funding up to $60,000 per project
Supports activities such as colour grading, sound mixing, visual effects polish and festival/submission costs
Available to feature films with significant New Zealand content nearing completion
This funding is open to New Zealand filmmakers with a feature length fiction or documentary film project that:
- Is at locked or late cut stage
- Has not received NZFC production or post-production funding and has a total production budget of less than $1,000,000
- Has either:
- a Festival Pathway – an invitation to screen at either the New Zealand International Film Festival (NZIFF), DocEdge, Resene Architecture and Design Film Festival; OR
- a prestigious international film festival and a pathway to a theatrical release in New Zealand with a robust plan for self-distribution and the expertise on board to deliver this
