The MIFF (Melbourne International Film Festival) Accelerator programme is an intensive director development programme aimed at short film directors who are seeking to transition to feature filmmaking.
It takes place each August, alongside the Melbourne International Film Festival (MIFF). The programme provides four days of workshops, screenings, seminars and networking events on the business and creative aspects of the film industry. The programme is run by leading local and international film practitioners attending MIFF.
Attendance at Accelerator is by invitation only and to be invited a director must have their short film selected for MIFF. We financially support invited directors to attend Accelerator.
