New Zealand’s screen industry is continuing to grow at an unprecedented rate and it is the job of Te Tumu Whakaata Taonga I The New Zealand Film Commission (NZFC) to support our creative and talented filmmakers.   

We have an exciting opportunity for a Communications and Engagement Advisor to join our vibrant team.    You will be a great communicator and ideally have worked in a similar role. You will be a savvy communicator with great people and digital skills. 

What you’ll bring:

  • A tertiary qualification, preferably with a related degree, or equivalent knowledge
  • Minimum of 2-3 years’ hands-on experience in a communications and engagement role within the public sector or private sector
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365
  • Strong written and verbal skills
  • Have an up to date understanding of communications best practice
  • Demonstrated ability to work across all levels and working, comfortable working in both a non-structured and structured way
  • Understands the Treaty of Waitangi's relevance to own role as a public servant and partnering with iwi-Māori
  • Experience in, and knowledge of, good relationship management practice
  • Strong customer focus with a commitment to finding solutions to customer challenges
  • A proactive and innovative approach - ability to problem solve and think outside the box
  • A can-do attitude, great time management and excellent attention to detail
