New Zealand’s screen industry is continuing to grow at an unprecedented rate and it is the job of Te Tumu Whakaata Taonga I The New Zealand Film Commission (NZFC) to support our creative and talented filmmakers.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Communications and Engagement Advisor to join our vibrant team. You will be a great communicator and ideally have worked in a similar role. You will be a savvy communicator with great people and digital skills.
What you’ll bring:
- A tertiary qualification, preferably with a related degree, or equivalent knowledge
- Minimum of 2-3 years’ hands-on experience in a communications and engagement role within the public sector or private sector
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365
- Strong written and verbal skills
- Have an up to date understanding of communications best practice
- Demonstrated ability to work across all levels and working, comfortable working in both a non-structured and structured way
- Understands the Treaty of Waitangi's relevance to own role as a public servant and partnering with iwi-Māori
- Experience in, and knowledge of, good relationship management practice
- Strong customer focus with a commitment to finding solutions to customer challenges
- A proactive and innovative approach - ability to problem solve and think outside the box
- A can-do attitude, great time management and excellent attention to detail
