Industry Development Funding
The Industry Development Fund supports the delivery of programmes that help develop filmmakers’ craft and practice to help our filmmakers make the strongest films possible, strengthening New Zealand’s screen industry. If you’re a screen sector organisation, company, or collective is registered in New Zealand, you are eligible to apply.
There are two budget strands for this fund –
- Strand 1 - Budget requests up to $350,000
- Strand 2 - Budget requests under $30,000

- Strand 1 – Book a 15-minute pre-application hui to confirm eligibility: industrysupport@nzfilm.co.nz
- Strand 2 – Apply at any time. No pre-application hui required.

- Strand 1 – Applications open Monday 9 March 2026
Deadline: Monday 13 April 2026 at 1PM - Strand 2 – Applications open Monday 14 July 2025
