Piracy is damaging the film industry worldwide.

Though internet piracy in New Zealand has reportedly halved since the Copyright (Infringing File Sharing) Regulations 2011, the practice of illegally accessing and downloading film continues to affect everyone in the New Zealand film industry. Piracy jeopardises potential international sales and film income.
