CHANGES TO FRESH SHORTS AND PREMIERE SHORTS 

We are looking to make changes to our Short Film programme.  Our CEO Dave Gibson recently announced these proposed changes at industry meetings throughout the country.   • Eleven (Director Abigail Greenwood, Writer/Producer Kate Prior) for their world premiere at the Berlin International Film Festival in February. The film was very well received in the prestigious Generation section of the festival,
  • Killing Phillip (Director Adam Gunser, Producer Declan Cahill), which screened in the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival. Clermont-Ferrand is the world’s leading film festival dedicated to short films,
  • Queenie (Director Paul Neason, Producers Melissa Donald, Michelle Savill) for their upcoming world premiere at South by Southwest on Saturday 8 March. The team will be attending SXSW in support of the film,
  • Cold Snap (Director Leo Woodhead, Producer Rebekah Kelly) for the upcoming screening in the short film competition of the Hong Kong International Film Festival,

These notes are to assist you once your film has been green-lit with regards to working with us. If you have any questions, please drop in to see us at our Wellington offices or contact Whetu Fala, Acting Short Film Manager 0800 659 754 x 705 whetu@nzfilm.co.nz

Deliverables: A reminder to all teams that once your film is completed as per your contracted delivery schedules, all materials are to be sent to Tracey Brown, Film Materials Manager. We want to see your film have a long screen life and this is all part of the pathway. We encourage you to call Tracey if you have any questions regarding technical specifications, even at pre-production stage on 0800 659 754 x 683.

Invoices: Please ensure that all your invoices include GST. In order to assist prompt payment for you all, please also clearly note the title of your film, from your approved funding round on the invoice.   

Production Updates: A reminder that regular reporting on the current state of your project for funders is part of your acceptance of your contract. This includes sending updates of your current script drafts, key personnel changes, production schedules and any changes in your contracted delivery dates.
