How to qualify as an NZ film
Prior to returning to New Zealand in 2000, Angela spent 15 years in the UK working in the film and television industry. During her last 6 years there, she was Drama Production Executive at Channel 4 and Film 4. Films made during her tenure included Trainspotting, Secrets and Lies, Brassed Off, Welcome to Sarejevo and Ken Loach’s Carla’s Song. TV Drama included Queer as Folk, Anna Karenina, Sword of Honour, Longitude and Shackleton.
Since returning she has produced feature films Show of Hands, Apron Strings and Separation City. She co-produced Channel 4’s BAFTA winning Not Only But Always and most recently line produced NZ on Air Platinum Funds tele-features Tangiwai, Rage and Field Punishment and drama series Harry.
Prior to joining Pukeko Pictures she had just completed principal photography on the See-Saw co-production Slow West starring Michael Fassbender, Kodi Smit-McPhee and Ben Mendelsohn.
