How to qualify as an NZ film
The aim of the Co-Production Development Fund is to support New Zealand filmmakers to develop feature films as official co-productions with one of our 17 co-production partners.
The Co-Production Development Fund provides a total of $100,000 a year to support New Zealand filmmakers who are working with an overseas partner on developing feature films as official co-productions.
At a glance
Applications will be considered on a first come, first served, basis. External assessors may be used if the NZFC considers it beneficial. Final decisions will be made by the Head of International Relations in consultation with the CEO.
Once all relevant information is provided and the application is confirmed by the NZFC as eligible, applicants will be notified of the decision within four weeks.
