Print & Advertising Grant

We offer financial assistance to domestic distributors of independent New Zealand feature films to help maximise the New Zealand domestic theatrical audience. 

At A Glance:

• Who can apply: A distributor of an independent New Zealand film
• Level of support: 25% of publicity and advertising spend for a New Zealand film release.  We may also cover a significant amount of film screening materials.
• Type of funding: Grant

Requirements:

• The film must be an independent New Zealand film suitable for a general theatrical release in New Zealand in not less then five cinemas across two major citiies.
• The full terms and conditions of the Grant are set out in the P&A Grant Application form.  

The Process:

The amount of the Grant (including whether any Grant is made) is at our absolute discretion.  We encourage all applicants to submit applications as early as possible.  We may give a provisional indication as to whether there is any reason why we would not provide the Grant based on information provided.

Key Dates:

You can apply at any time prior to the release of the film, however, we suggest applications be submitted not later than eight weeks prior to release.
