Review of NZFC's Sales and Marketing Operation



At the end of 2008 the NZFC undertook a review of its Sales and Marketing operation, engaging Australian film marketing consultant, Sue Murray (former Head of Marketing for the Australian Film Commission) to conduct this.

We asked Sue to look into our operation with several things in mind, including to identify:
 
(a) how well it is performing in comparison with other sales agents
(b) the rationale for retaining the existing function compared to other options
(c) opportunities to improve the current approach
(d) strengths and weaknesses of any preferred options
 
Sue has put together a comprehensive report, including a number of recommendations and suggestions for improvement. Many points she made have been dealt with by our recently revised NZFC Feature Film Production Financing Guidelines (February 2009).
