Quotes from 2010 attendees of the Talent Campus:
I spent most of the seven official days up there working on with the 12 Doc Station participants on the project I applied with ‘Pictures of Susan’. To have that length of time to ‘think’ about and develop a documentary that is in production is a real luxury, and it was really helped by the collegial atmosphere of the other participants.

The Campus was certainly a place to find and connect with people talking the language of film and passionate about filmmaking, sharing experiences and ideas and getting inspired. Boarding with a French producer, a Nigerian director/writer, and Bulgarian editor was a great start to a multi-cultural experience. The Berlinale Talent Campus is a great opportunity for exposing new and emerging New Zealand film-makers to the various voices and collaborators in the international film industry. It has been one of the most memorable experiences in my journey to date.

It’s a great occasion to get out there, meet likeminded people and form relationships that may prove useful in the future. Given NZ’s isolation and lack of opportunities I think it is especially important for us to connect with more progressive countries.
